Kathleen Rudolph is much in demand as a recitalist, chamber musician and teacher. Currently an Assistant Professor at Western University in London, Ontario, Ms. Rudolph teaches flute and is also Coordinator of the Woodwind Division at the Royal Conservatory's Glenn Gould School in Toronto.
Ms. Rudolph is a member of the Rudolph Family Players with her husband, percussionist John Rudolph, and daughter, violist Theresa Rudolph. She also performs frequently with pianist, Stephan Sylvestre.
Ms Rudolph has given masterclasses at the Shanghai Conservatory, The Montreal Conservatory, the Orford Centre for the Arts, and in December 2007, gave concerts and classes in Turkey. She has performed at some of the most prestigious chamber music series in the United States and Canada, including Masterpiece Music, the Vancouver Chamber Music Festival, Music in the Morning, the Ottawa Chamber Music Festival and Tanglewood.
In Vancouver, Kathleen played piccolo and was Assistant Principal Flute with the Vancouver Symphony for seventeen years, and was principal flute of the CBC Radio Orchestra for twenty-five years. She was on the faculty of the University of British Columbia and the Vancouver Academy of Music. Often featured as a soloist with the CBC Orchestra, Ms. Rudolph has recorded for the Skylark, CBC, and Waterlily labels. She is the recipient of a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Catholic University of America.
Kathleen enjoys reading, gardening, and walking her basset hound, Arthur.
